Subscriber First Name, we’d love to introduce you to Judah Luke Strutner.

After a long trip around the world, we made it back to Monterey in August and have been eagerly anticipating the arrival of our little guy. He made his debut on September 16 and we are so grateful for a quick, smooth, and safe delivery.

Micah and Sage are loving life with him around and always eager to help or give him a kiss. We have also been living with Jack’s parents who have been such an incredible help to us and made it such an easy transition. 

Being Back in the States

It’s been such a joy to be back in Monterey for this special season as a family. Micah and Sage have been spending their mornings at our church’s preschool, which they absolutely LOVE. It brings my heart so much joy to see all the fun activities they are getting to experience. We’ve also really enjoyed the downtime as a family to enjoy some of our favorite places together.

Beyond all the fun things to do, it’s been wonderful to simply rest in such a quiet and peaceful environment. We absolutely love our work in Kapsowar - but it is also exhausting in many ways. There is always a crisis to manage, something to be working on, or just that constant feeling of sticking out. And so to have some extended down time away has been really refreshing for us. 

We’ve also enjoyed taking a step back from the day-to-day hustle so that we can work on many things we’ve needed to catch up on, and start working on projects that always seem to get put on the back burner. Jack’s starting a research project in the newborn unit, and I’ve wrapped up a few new videos which I’ll be sharing soon!

Our Upcoming Travels

As fun and restful as this season has been and continues to be, we are confident our work is in Kapsowar. We’ll be taking off for South Florida on November 18, where we’ll enjoy the holidays with my (Regan’s) family, then heading back to Kenya on January 9!

Gratitude is what we feel a whole lot of in this season. Which is fitting, as Judah means “praise”. We thank you all for being apart of this wild journey with us.

Praises!

• We are so thankful for God providing for us to be here in the States for the birth, and a smooth and safe delivery. We feel so grateful to have been able to return to a familiar place during this season of transition, and to be surrounded by so much support from our family and community.

• We are so thankful for vehicles! Thanks to our family and a friend, we’ve been able to borrow cars to get around in which is such a huge help to us.
