“The incarnation was not just a convenient mechanism for getting Jesus to the cross, as if His life before His death were merely incidental. It was the ultimate affirmation that the material world matters to God. By taking on human flesh, God made clear that redemption is not about escape from the physical world but about its transformation. Christmas is a reminder that our mission flows from the incarnation. As Jesus humbled Himself to live among us, we too are called to live among those we serve, not as distant benefactors but as incarnational witnesses to the love of God. Just as the Son of God entered fully into our broken world, so we are sent to embody the good news in the broken places of the world, proclaiming His reign in word and deed. The incarnation compels us to see our mission not as bringing something foreign but as pointing to the presence of the God who is already at work. We join Him in the joyful task of restoring His creation and making His kingdom known.”
